PCA Series 12-Lead ECG

QT Medical developed the PCA Series 12-Lead ECG as a complete ECG solution designed to simplify 12-lead ECG testing while making hospital-grade cardiac assessments more accessible. The system integrates a compact ECG recorder, patented pre-positioned single-use electrode strips, mobile applications for iOS and Android devices, and a HIPAA-compliant cloud platform, enabling high-quality 12-lead ECGs to be performed anytime and virtually anywhere.

The PCA300 and PCA500 feature a built-in rechargeable battery that provides up to 16 hours of continuous operation, wireless Bluetooth connectivity, a splash-proof design, and a lightweight form factor weighing just 67 grams. The PCA500 also incorporates proprietary signal processing algorithms for high-quality ECG recordings, while the cloud platform provides secure data storage, remote access, electronic medical record (EMR) integration, and comprehensive ECG data management tools.

QHeart® Sensor

QT Medical developed the patented QHeart® Sensor with all 10 ECG electrodes pre-positioned and pre-connected, simplifying the placement process while improving efficiency, accuracy, and consistency during 12-lead ECG testing. Designed for use with the PCA Series, the sensor enables patients to perform medical-standard 12-lead ECGs at home with minimal training while reducing lead placement errors, electrode reversals, and the risk of infection through its single-use design.

The QHeart® Sensor reduces lead placement time by up to 70% and overall procedure time by up to 30%, while delivering consistent electrode positioning for reliable serial ECG comparisons over time. Available in multiple pediatric and adult sizes, the latex-free, allergy-tested sensor is compliant with AHA and IEC standards, provides excellent adhesion and signal tracing, and has been demonstrated to be usable by patients without prior training.

Converter Kit

QT Medical's Converter Kit connects ECG machines that use ECG cables with banana plugs to the QHeart® Sensor, enabling fast and accurate lead placement while maintaining high-quality 12-lead ECG recordings. Compatible with all major ECG machine brands that use banana-plug cables, the kit allows healthcare providers to integrate the QHeart® Sensor into existing ECG systems without replacing their current equipment.

Through a free online account, healthcare providers can order a PCA 500 system for patients, who complete a hospital-quality 12-lead ECG at home, upload the results securely to the cloud, and return the recorder by mail after testing.

Ruey-Kang Chang, M.D., M.P.H., is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of QT Medical, where he leads the company's mission to make hospital-grade 12-lead electrocardiograms (ECGs) more accessible through innovative medical technologies. Since founding QT Medical in 2013, he has led the development of portable, cloud-connected ECG solutions for clinical, telemedicine, and home-care applications.

Dr. Chang is a pediatric cardiologist, physician-scientist, and entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine and medical device innovation. He has served as a Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and as a Principal Investigator at The Lundquist Research Institute.

Dr. Chang earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from National Taiwan University and a Master of Public Health from UCLA. He completed his pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship at UCLA.
