Jack Owoc is an accomplished professional with a proven track record in the consumer goods industry. His expertise lies in negotiation, business planning, operations management, coaching, and consumer products. Jack is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University.

As the founder and former CEO of Bang Energy, an American energy drink company, Jack introduced a unique energy drink that stands out from conventional supplements like Monster and Rockstar. The company gained immense popularity due to its nutritional benefits and claims, a testament to Jack's brilliance and hard work.

Although Jack embarked on his entrepreneurial journey later in life, in 1993 at the age of 38, he founded Vital Pharmaceuticals, INC (VPX), the parent company of Bang Energy. Initially, VPX produced Redline, another energy drink designed to assist in fat loss, available in various forms such as Xtreme, RTD, and Redline Liquid Caps. Following the success of Bang Energy, the production of Redline RTD was discontinued.

Presently, VPX manufactures a range of caffeinated and caffeine-free drinks, vitamins, pre-workouts, post-workouts, and fat burners. The brand has expanded its offerings to include clothing lines, shoes, and accessories. The core vision behind the company was to create sports supplements that are both safe and scientifically supported.

Jack began the development of Bang, and the brand was officially incorporated in 1996. Acknowledging that his main objective was not to operate the organization as a typical supplement company, he aimed to run it "like a pharmaceutical company." This commitment to excellence is reflected in the brand's adherence to the highest manufacturing standards for energy drinks, denoted by the acronym VP(X).

Jack Departs as the CEO

In March 2023, Vital Pharmaceuticals announced that its CEO and "Chief Science Officer," Jack Owoc, is no longer holding those positions or serving as a board member. John DiDonato, the then chief transformation officer, was appointed as the interim CEO in place of Owoc in March.

Chairman Steve Panagos expressed gratitude for Jack Owoc's contribution to founding the Bang Energy brand during these organizational changes. He stated, "On behalf of the board of directors, we acknowledge Jack’s vision in founding this leading brand and creating a world-class product in the energy drink category. As the company continues to pursue value maximization, we are grateful to Mr. DiDonato and the executive leadership team for their stewardship and to the talented and hard-working members of the Bang Energy team for their unwavering commitment to the brand."
