Dr. Joerg Heuer, Founder & CEO, EcoG
Dr. Jörg Heuer is a co-founder and the CEO of EcoG, based in Detroit and Munich, where he oversees the development and implementation of the EcoG IoT Operating System for EV Chargers. With a background as Head of Embedded Networks at Siemens, he has been instrumental in advancing digitalization and electrification technologies. Dr. Heuer's pioneering work includes demonstrating the application of ISO15118 for high-performance DC charging of vehicles, buses, and trucks as early as 2013.
Throughout his career, Dr. Heuer has led R&D teams in the mobile phone industry and smart grid technologies before focusing on electric mobility. He was also a co-initiator of the startup Caterva. He holds a Dipl.-Ing. Degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in digital signal processing, and he earned his PhD in visual image recognition, metadata processing, and coding from Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen, Germany.
