What inspired you to start GetYourGuide?

My co-founders and I wanted to create a solution that made discovering and booking activities easier, ensuring that travelers could focus on enjoying their trips rather than worrying about logistics.

How does GetYourGuide help travelers find unique experiences?

We focus on quality and authenticity. Our team carefully curates experiences, working closely with local providers to ensure that what we offer is memorable and meaningful. Smart technology helps match travelers with activities that align with their interests, making the booking process seamless and personalized.

What role does technology play in enhancing travel experiences?

Technology makes everything more accessible. From real-time availability to mobile ticketing, travelers benefit from a smoother experience. Personalized recommendations ensure that people discover activities they might not have considered. We constantly refine our platform to improve convenience and reliability.

How do you ensure that travelers receive high-quality experiences?

We work closely with experience providers, setting high standards for quality and service. Customer feedback is crucial. Reviews and ratings help maintain consistency, and we continuously assess experiences to ensure they meet expectations. Supporting local guides and businesses also contributes to authenticity and quality.

What challenges have you faced in building GetYourGuide, and how have you overcome them?

Starting any company comes with its share of challenges. One of the biggest was building trust with travelers and experience providers. Establishing strong partnerships and focusing on customer satisfaction helped us grow. Another challenge was adapting to changes in the travel industry, particularly during disruptions like the pandemic. Agility and innovation allowed us to navigate uncertain times and continue delivering great experiences.

How has the demand for travel experiences evolved?

More people want experiences that go beyond typical sightseeing. There is a greater emphasis on culture, adventure, and personalized travel. Travelers are looking for activities that connect them to local communities and create lasting memories. We have adapted to these trends by expanding our offerings and enhancing personalization.

What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs in the travel industry?

Focus on solving real problems. Travel is about experiences, and making those experiences better should be the goal. Innovation, persistence, and understanding what travelers truly need are key to building something meaningful. Passion and resilience will always be the foundation of success.

The travel industry is always evolving, and new technology allows us to offer even better experiences. Advancements in AI, augmented reality, and smart recommendations will continue to improve how travelers discover and enjoy activities.
