Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc. has just announced the appointment of Paul Simpson as the Vice Chairman of the Global Technology and Operations (GTO) division. In his new role, Simpson will work closely with the Broadridge GTO team to enhance customer-focused strategies and speed up the introduction of targeted product lines.

While Broadridge intensifies the development of trading innovation and capabilities in its Capital Markets sector, it is currently providing a range of pioneering, market-ready component solutions to wealth management customers throughout North America. Simpson, in his capacity as an advisor, will report to Broadridge President Chris Perry and GTO President Tom Carey.

"Paul's insights will be incredibly valuable as we drive both simplification and innovation in the front and back office for Capital Markets and deliver the Wealth Management platform of tomorrow to our clients today," said Carey. "Paul brings an important understanding of the technology and operational needs of our clients."

Before joining Broadridge, Paul amassed an impressive 33-year track record in the financial services industry, notably holding the position of Global Banking & Markets Operations and Regions Executive at Bank of America. In this role, he oversaw global operations for the bank’s institutional and commercial clients, as well as its corporate, investment banking, and government clients, while also managing technology and operations for the bank's international business. Simpson previously led Bank of America's Global Treasury Services Business, Prime Brokerage and Futures business, and Global Transaction Services business, demonstrating his extensive comprehension and proficiency in the technological and operational aspects of the financial services field.

“I am excited to join the Broadridge team at this transformation moment for financial markets," said Simpson. "Broadridge has the proven expertise to help financial services firms future-proof their business and manage these changes, and I look forward to partnering with Tom, Chris and the rest of the team to bring best-in-class solutions to our clients.”

Before joining Bank of America in 2011, Paul Simpson held various positions with growing responsibilities at Citigroup and JPMorgan Chase. He obtained a B.S. in Russian from Georgetown University and further pursued an MBA in Finance, Economics, and International Business from New York University Stern School of Business.
