Enhancing Surgical Capabilities

Symani is revolutionizing microsurgery by offering unparalleled precision, tremor reduction, and motion scaling capabilities. Designed to perform microsurgical anastomosis, suturing, and ligation on blood vessels, lymphatic ducts, and nerves, Symani is revolutionizing a broad spectrum of surgical procedures including reconstructive free flap surgery and replantation.

Unlocking New Possibilities

With its powerful combination of miniaturized instruments and state-of-the-art technology, Symani is poised to unlock new possibilities in microsurgery. From reducing errors and vessel trauma during suturing to translating natural surgeon movements into precise micro-instrument actions, Symani is paving the way for enhanced surgical outcomes and patient care.

Clinical Applications of the Symani® Surgical System

Microvascular Vessel Repair

In reconstructive free flap surgeries and replantation procedures, repairing tiny blood vessels is crucial for restoring blood flow. Symani empowers microsurgeons to delicately connect these small arteries and veins with precision and control. By enabling surgeons to perform complex procedures like perforator flaps more effectively, Symani opens up new possibilities for less invasive treatment options and better outcomes for patients.

Lymphatic Repair

Individuals suffering from lymphedema often seek surgical interventions to alleviate symptoms and improve their quality of life. Procedures like lymphovenous anastomosis or bypass (LVA/LVB) and vascularized lymph node transfer (VLNT) can help reduce swelling and promote fluid drainage. Symani assists surgeons in performing these delicate procedures by facilitating the connection of tiny lymphatic ducts to nearby veins or transplanting lymph nodes to affected areas, ultimately enhancing patient comfort and well-being.

Peripheral Nerve Repair

Traumatic injuries to peripheral nerves in the arms and legs can significantly affect a patient's daily life. Restoring sensation to the affected area through reconstructive surgery is essential, requiring precise repair of the small nerves. Symani supports surgeons in these intricate procedures by providing enhanced precision, potentially leading to improved outcomes and quicker recovery for patients.

Enhancing Breast Cancer Care with Symani®

Addressing Post-Treatment Challenges

Breast cancer patients encounter numerous challenges post-treatment, from decisions regarding reconstructive surgery following mastectomy to concerns about developing lymphedema. Symani plays a crucial role in supporting a comprehensive approach to cancer care for these patients, ensuring they have access to advanced treatment options.

Access to Advanced Reconstructive Surgery

Symani offers breast cancer patients access to state-of-the-art reconstructive options using their own tissue and robotic technology. Autologous breast reconstruction, facilitated by Symani, boasts advantages over implant-based reconstruction, including lower failure rates and higher patient satisfaction. This innovative approach enhances patient outcomes and reduces the risk of complications.

Precision at the Micro Level

Symani's NanoWrist® instruments, featuring the world’s smallest surgical robotic wrist, enable surgeons to replicate human hand movements at a micro level with remarkable precision. Tremor filtration and motion scaling technology ensure precise needle and suture placement, contributing to increased vessel patency and reduced trauma. By avoiding costly re-interventions, Symani enhances patient care while optimizing healthcare resources.
