How was Neuro20 Technologies founded, and what unmet need in the market did the company set out to address?

I founded Neuro20 Technologies after recognizing a simple but important reality: neurological recovery is continuous, but healthcare delivery is often episodic.

Through my own rehabilitation journey, I realized that millions of people living with stroke, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological conditions continue to face the same physical challenges between therapy visits as they do during them. Unfortunately, today's healthcare system is still largely built around scheduled appointments instead of continuous rehabilitation.

I describe this gap as the Care Cliff, where a patient's need for rehabilitation continues, but access to clinician-directed care declines significantly.

That challenge became the driving force behind Neuro20. I founded the company to help bridge the Care Cliff by enabling clinicians to extend structured neurological care beyond the clinic and into patients' daily lives.

This mission is deeply personal to me. As a disabled U.S. Marine Corps veteran, my own rehabilitation experience showed me firsthand the challenges many neurological patients face after completing intensive rehabilitation. Rather than accepting that decline in access as inevitable, I founded Neuro20 to build a new model of continuous neurological care.

Neuro20 has built an FDA-cleared Whole-Body Electrical Neuromuscular Modulation platform. Could you tell us how the platform works and what differentiates it from existing solutions in neurological care and rehabilitation?

The Neuro20 PRO System is an FDA-cleared, prescription-use Whole-Body Electrical Neuromuscular Modulation (ENM) platform designed to support clinician-directed neurological rehabilitation. The platform is built on a simple philosophy: neurological recovery is not isolated. Human movement requires coordinated interaction between multiple muscle groups, sensory feedback, timing, repetition, and functional activity. Recovery should reflect that complexity.

The Neuro20 Smart Suit incorporates 20 integrated electrodes organized into nine independently controlled channels, allowing clinicians to individualize treatment while patients perform meaningful functional activities such as walking, sit-to-stand training, balance exercises, cycling, and other task-specific movement patterns.

Rather than focusing on isolated intervention, Neuro20 was engineered around coordinated whole-body movement and the continuity of rehabilitation.

The platform is FDA-cleared for indications, including neuromuscular re-education, increasing local blood circulation, maintaining or increasing range of motion, relaxation of muscle spasms, retarding or preventing disuse atrophy, and facilitating muscle performance, with Neuro20 continuing to evaluate broader patient-reported and autonomic-related outcomes through clinical use and research.

Equally important is where we see the technology fitting within healthcare. Neuro20 is not intended to replace therapists or traditional rehabilitation. It is designed to extend the clinician’s reach, allowing structured care to continue both inside the clinic and beyond it.

Healthcare, particularly neurological care, is at an important turning point. How does Neuro20 view this evolution, and what role will this platform play in the future of intervention, recovery, and continuity of care?

Healthcare has become remarkably successful at helping people survive neurological injury and disease. The next challenge is helping them recover, adapt, and maintain function over the months and years that follow.

Neurological conditions do not end when a patient is discharged from inpatient rehabilitation or finishes an outpatient appointment. Recovery is an ongoing process that requires consistency, repetition, and long-term clinical guidance.

At the same time, healthcare systems face increasing patient volumes, clinician shortages, reimbursement pressures, and growing demand for care delivered outside traditional facilities.

We believe neurological care is evolving from episodic treatment toward continuous, connected care.

The future will combine clinician expertise with technologies that allow patients to remain engaged between appointments while giving providers greater visibility into progress over time.

Our vision extends beyond hardware. We see Neuro20 becoming part of a connected neurological care ecosystem that links the rehabilitation clinic, the patient’s home, and the healthcare team through intelligent software, secure clinical data, and responsible artificial intelligence.

What challenges has Neuro20 encountered as it brings this platform to market, and how has the healthcare community responded to its introduction?

The response from the healthcare community has been encouraging, but introducing a new approach to neurological care requires more than developing innovative technology. It requires earning the trust of clinicians, researchers, healthcare systems, and patients.

Healthcare appropriately demands strong evidence, regulatory compliance, thoughtful implementation, and long-term reliability before adopting new technologies.

We have invested significant effort into clinical validation, regulatory quality systems, education, and collaboration with rehabilitation professionals to ensure our platform integrates naturally into clinical practice.

Clinicians immediately recognize the challenge created by the Care Cliff because they experience it every day. They understand that their patients often need continued intervention even when traditional therapy schedules become less frequent.

Rather than viewing Neuro20 as a replacement for rehabilitation, many providers see it as an opportunity to extend the care they are already delivering and help patients maintain momentum between visits. That collaborative relationship with clinicians continues to shape how our platform evolves.

Who does Neuro20 primarily serve, and what does the company's relationship with them look like?

Neuro20 serves rehabilitation hospitals, outpatient therapy providers, physicians, researchers, veterans’ healthcare organizations, and patients living with neurological conditions, including patients using Neuro20 in the home under appropriate clinical direction.

While our technology supports patients, our primary relationship begins with clinicians. Everything we develop is intended to help therapists and physicians deliver more effective, more continuous care.

Implementation extends well beyond installing equipment. We provide education, onboarding, clinical training, protocol development, and ongoing support to help providers integrate the platform into their existing rehabilitation programs.

We also work closely with research institutions and healthcare organizations to continue generating evidence and refining clinical applications.

Ultimately, our relationship is built on partnership. We view ourselves as collaborating with clinicians to solve one of healthcare’s most significant challenges: extending quality neurological care beyond scheduled appointments.

What other offerings does Neuro20 have in the pipeline to address the needs of neurological care and rehabilitation?

Our current platform represents the foundation of a much larger vision. We are building an ecosystem designed to support continuous neurological care through connected technology, intelligent clinical software, and responsible use of artificial intelligence.

Future development includes enhanced clinical dashboards, secure patient data integration, remote monitoring capabilities, expanded outcome reporting, and software tools that help clinicians better understand patient progress across both clinic and home environments.

Artificial intelligence will play an important role, not by replacing clinicians, but by helping organize complex information, identify meaningful patterns, and provide decision-support insights that improve efficiency while preserving clinician oversight.

We are also continuing to expand clinical research across multiple neurological populations while developing additional protocols that address the evolving needs of rehabilitation providers and patients.

What role has the team behind Neuro20 played in the company's growth and development?

What are Neuro20’s priorities for the next five years?

Our priorities are centered on advancing clinical evidence, expanding patient access, strengthening reimbursement pathways, and building the infrastructure for continuous neurological care.

We will continue supporting multicenter clinical research while expanding partnerships with rehabilitation hospitals, veterans’ healthcare organizations, outpatient providers, and academic institutions.

We also plan to further develop the software, data, and artificial intelligence capabilities that connect clinicians with patients beyond traditional therapy sessions.

Five years from now, we do not hope to be recognized simply as another rehabilitation technology company. We aspire to be known as the company that helped redefine what continuous neurological care can become.

Success will not be measured solely by the number of systems installed, but by the number of patients who are able to continue meaningful recovery because clinicians finally have practical tools to extend care beyond scheduled appointments.
