Pedro Bados, Co-Founder & CEO, Nexthink

Nexthink is a technology company that focuses on digital employee experience management. Businesses depend on technology to keep operations efficient, but disruptions can slow productivity and frustrate employees. Nexthink provides a platform that enables IT teams to monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues before they escalate. By analyzing real-time data, companies gain visibility into the performance of devices, applications, and networks, ensuring employees have seamless access to the tools they need. A proactive approach to IT support allows businesses to address concerns quickly rather than waiting for problems to be reported. The ability to measure employee sentiment alongside technical performance creates a more comprehensive understanding of digital experience. Companies can make informed decisions that improve workflows, reduce downtime, and enhance satisfaction. Investments in artificial intelligence and automation refine the platform’s capabilities, making IT operations more responsive and efficient. The goal is to bridge the gap between technology and employee productivity by eliminating barriers that disrupt daily tasks.

In Conversation with Pedro Bados, Co-Founder & CEO of Nexthink

Nexthink has become a leader in digital employee experience. What motivated you to start the company?

I saw a disconnect between IT teams and employees. Companies were investing heavily in technology, yet employees often struggled with slow systems, outages, or software issues. IT teams lacked real-time visibility, which meant problems went undetected or took too long to fix. I wanted to create a solution that would help IT teams understand and improve digital experiences before frustration set in.

What sets Nexthink apart from traditional IT monitoring solutions?

Traditional monitoring focuses on infrastructure and applications but often overlooks the employee perspective. We take a user-centric approach, gathering real-time insights that show how employees experience technology. By combining technical data with direct employee feedback, IT teams gain a clearer picture of what needs to be fixed and why. The ability to resolve issues proactively rather than reactively makes a huge difference.

What challenges come with driving innovation in this space?

The biggest challenge is keeping up with the rapid pace of change in technology. Employees expect seamless digital experiences, but IT teams are dealing with increasingly complex environments. Balancing innovation with ease of use is critical. The goal is to provide advanced capabilities without overwhelming IT teams with unnecessary complexity.

How does artificial intelligence enhance Nexthink’s platform?

AI helps IT teams detect patterns, automate troubleshooting, and prioritize issues before they disrupt work. Instead of relying on manual processes, IT teams can receive intelligent recommendations based on real-time data. AI-driven automation allows problems to be fixed before employees even notice them, improving efficiency and reducing downtime.

What qualities do you value most as a leader?

Transparency and adaptability. A strong team thrives on open communication and shared purpose. I believe in setting clear goals and giving people the freedom to find the best ways to achieve them. Technology moves fast, so staying adaptable is essential. The ability to listen, learn, and adjust keeps a company competitive and relevant.

What has been the most rewarding part of building Nexthink?

Seeing the direct results of our work. IT teams tell us how much easier their jobs have become, and employees notice the difference when their technology just works. Knowing that we are solving real problems and improving daily work experiences is incredibly fulfilling.

What advice would you give to entrepreneurs entering the technology space?

Solve a real problem and stay focused on delivering value. Too many startups build technology for the sake of innovation rather than addressing an actual need. Listen to your customers, refine your product, and surround yourself with smart, motivated people who believe in the vision. Growth will follow if the foundation is strong.
