With Boom in Pilates, Fitness & Wellness Franchising Players Push for Studio Expansion in US
Endorsing Pilate studios, from actors to journalists, new joiners are publicly sharing a first-hand account of their experience at reformer programmes.

NEW YORK, July 4, 2025 — The first experience of nervously stepping into a Pilates studio, shaking hands with the instructor and getting a guided tour of the wellness facility.
As US witnesses the big boom of Pilates, sharing first day experience at the studio has become a flavour of the season.
From emotional drama “This Is Us” star Chrissy Metz to Ally Hall, a Journalist at the Weekender, new joiners at Pilates studios, are openly endorsing the reformer programmes.
44-year-old Chrissy, played Kate Pearson on the emotional drama This Is Us, part of the show’s “Big Three,” which included Sterling K Brown’s Randall and Justin Hartley’s Kevin.
In a recent write-up for a lifestyle and entertainment web portal, Chrissy shared an important message with her fans, encouraging them to step out of their comfort zone.
Similarly, in an authored article, Hall recollected the nervousness she faced before the night of her first Pilates session. “I barely slept a wink before my 6am class at ReformX Pilates on High Street,” wrote Hall.
In the backdrop of client anecdotes, Pilates studios in US, have this fiscal, quite literally flexed their muscle. Multiple studios are announcing large-scale expansions.
Catering to High Demand
Bodybar Pilates has expanded the national footprint with eight new US studios in Q1FY2025-26, bringing total number of open locations to 54.
In terms of earnings, Bodybar Pilates has reported a successful first quarter, generating nearly $10 million in systemwide revenue.
Besides signing over 20 new franchise agreements, opening eight new studios.
Despite its success, the fitness and wellness franchising company remains focused as it prepares for further growth
Bodybar has partnered with Prestige Franchise Partners (PFP) to for a further nationwide expansion. This is aimed to strengthen its development team and accelerate strategic growth.
In another lucrative deal, Club Pilates Franchisee last month, secured investment for Eastern US Expansion.
Eagle Merchant Partners has utilized the first tranche from its newly closed second fund, taking a stake in Club Pilates franchisee Aligned Fitness. It has partnered with its leadership to expand through new studio openings and acquisitions across the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic US.
Strategic Expansion
In March this year, STRONG Pilates announced a strategic partnership with wellness investor Momentic Studios.
The fitness franchise now operates over 80 studios in 11 countries.
In 2024, it achieved an 18 percent growth in network revenue.
STRONG Pilate’s renewed expansion plan will include 96 studios in partnership with Momentic Studios along with 30 single and multi-site franchise agreements and up to 30 corporate owned studios.
The partnership with Momentic Studios will ramp up STRONG’s presence across key metropolitan markets, including Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Jose, San Francisco, San Diego, Houston, Dallas, Greater New York City and Brooklyn, Greater Boston, Greater Chicago, Orlando, and expand its footprint in previously announced regions of Austin, New Jersey and Long Island, said a press release.
Door Step Service
Last year, Your Reformer’s innovative reformer Pilates solution launched in the US allowing customers to own or rent reformers.
Till that point, there was no nationwide service offering consumers to rent a pilates reformer to their home or office on a weekly basis with full set up and delivery included. The rollout for reformer rentals will start in Southern California and expand into major metropolitans within the next year while reformers for purchase are available currently nationwide, said a press release.
