Experiencing these challenges firsthand, the founders set out to transform how maternal care is delivered.

Eric Dy, co-founder, is the CEO of Bloomlife, where he leads the company’s efforts to transform maternal care delivery through wearable technology, remote monitoring, and data-driven healthcare solutions. With a background in biomedical engineering and healthcare innovation, he focuses on developing technologies that help healthcare providers gain deeper insights into maternal and fetal health.
Before founding Bloomlife with Julien Penders in 2014, Eric worked at imec, where he contributed to healthcare technology development and business initiatives. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Through his leadership at Bloomlife, Eric is focused on addressing challenges in maternal care by developing solutions that provide healthcare teams with continuous health insights, support earlier identification of potential complications, and improve outcomes for mothers and babies.
